Picking up the Pieces
by Cherie Harwell
Matthew 27:9
Then was fulfilled what was spoken Jeremiah the prophet, saying. “And
they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of him who was priced,
whom they of the children of Israel priced. (New King James Version)
Love is a key element in the deliverance process. Love is picking up the
pieces; writing picking up the pieces is like writing an enchanting love
story. Picking up the Pieces is stories of ups and downs, highs and lows,
a fight about gathering up the pieces of your life and holding it
altogether. Picking up the Pieces is unlike any other love story, picking
up the pieces features love at a new level of understanding. Knowing what
endurance means, remembering loves hides a multitude of faults, loving
unconditionally, being submissive, and becoming one with your mate, in the
spirit.

What is love? Love is a deep and tender feeling of affection for, or
attachment or devotion to a person or persons, an expression of one’s
love or affection. Love could be a feeling for brotherhood and good will
toward other people. Love is a strong liking or interest in a person,
place or thing. Love is sometimes expressed as God's way of showing tender
regard and concern for all human beings, as well as devotion or desire to
worship the Supreme Being, God. Love is to embrace, delight and gain
benefit from it. I can talk all day on love, God is love and he loves us
enough to help us gather up the residue in our lives and continue to live
again.
Just like most love stories, love is sometimes blind or hides the most
obvious. Although, we are intelligent people for the most part, we can’t
get past some mistakes. Picking up the pieces involves dealing with the
entire dumping process, which causes one to completely forgive one's self
and others. Love is precious, and God is love, he sacrificed his only
begotten Son for our freedom. Love is true, and it is frightening if there
is not an understanding from both parties. I have heard several people and
seen many literary reviews which comment on how you can love your way back
to health. This is simply what picking up the pieces presents to us today?

Valley Experiences That Build Character
by Cherie Harwell
Harwell first came on the literary scene with Dump It!, a
cautionary guide to letting go of the things which hold one back. Her new
offering, Valley Experiences That Build Character, talks of pain and
teaches how to overcome it.
Harwell's husband, Dwight, wrote the portion which speaks of how God
delivered him from his crack cocaine addiction, by placing Psalms 102, on
his heart. Harwell explains that although the "valley" is a low
place, with the help of the Lord, people have the power to be lifted up.
She shares the wisdom of King Solomon when she says, "Solomon
explains this best in Proverbs, saying that in the valley you live beneath
your potential, that building your character and good name is more
valuable than rubies."
Valley Experiences That Build Character draws on references from Old as
well as, New Testament scriptures. There are instructions on what to do
when you're in the valley, how to prosper in the valley, and how to get
out of the valley,
With spiritual events, Harwell covers the five valleys; Gilgad, where the
Israelites faced the first challenge; Bethel, the valley of trouble;
Jericho, "with winding double walls"; Jordan, "which
represents the crossing point in your life"; and Gilead, a place of
asylum and shelter.
Some of the everyday valley experiences include: high divorce rates
resulting in the destruction of the family unit, and single parenting.
Harwell says of the latter "It's not fun, but neither is it
impossible."
Harwell has left nothing to chance--the book even has a handy lexicon in
the back!

Dear Evangelist Harwell,
I enjoyed the workshop on
Battered Faith on Women’s Day. God has certainly given you something
that is much needed. I pray that God would increase your territory. So May
God bless you.
District Missionary Kelsaw

Dear Evangelist Harwell,
When I read your book, I began to wonder if your series was a message for
me. As I continued to read the Dump It! Series, I found my self
relating to
the author's personal experiences and realizing I had something to dump.
For
I lost a love one through bitter anger related to drugs. I struggled with
understanding why a good God would allow the killers of my love one to get
away with the taking of a precious life. When I finally decided to
dump it,
I realized that my mind was clouded with anger and that I needed to stop
questioning God. You see I always believed that there will be a judgment
day
for all, including my love one's killers. But dumping it help me to
release
the anger and with faith to forgive.
Cherie, I pray that you will continue your journey through writing because
I
truly believe that the missionary work God has for you to do is through
writing, reaching and helping others.

Dear Evangelist Harwell,
I enjoyed your book. Its nice to know how others work through the
struggles
in their lives and led to just - Dump It!
Now - Sweep it up?

After reading Valley Experiences that Build Character, I truly believe now
that God allows others to go through in order to show his blessings.
Surely the experiences that God has brought you and your husband through
will greatly help and bless others.

To
Cherie,
When I think about you and Dwight, I think of 1 Corinthians 15:57-58,
57, But thanks be to God, Which giveth us the victory through our Lord
Jesus Christ.
58, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always
abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch, as ye know that your labor
is not in vain in the Lord. God has given you a vision, and you have
blessed me with your words.
Your sister,
Karen

This book is really deep! I now know you are as strong as I have always
envisioned you to be. Thanks for sharing such intimate information in an
attempt to help others.
Continued Blessings.
